Australia confirmed for next year’s World Men’s Fistball Championships is Argentina… along with 14 other teams!
Well it’s official – the Australian Men’s Fistball Team will be throwing around their fists next year at the Fistball World Championships in Argentina… and based on the countries confirmed for the event, it will be the biggest World Championships in the history of fistball!
We’re particularly excited to see that India and Pakistan have confirmed, as we’re looking forward to continuing the rivalries formed in Lahore earlier this year, and hopefully reversing some results. We’re also stoked for fistball infants South Africa, who have also officially committed to the event. The President of the Fistball Association of South Africa will be here next Sunday to see our elite fistballers in action at Fistivus IX, so it is there that our intimidation campaign will begin.
The full list of teams currently registered to compete next year are: Argentina, Australia (first appearance), Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia (first appearance), Czech Republic, Germany, India (first appearance), Italy, Namibia, Pakistan (first appearance), South Africa (first appearance), Switzerland and USA
For those wishing to represent Australia at these World Championships, details will follow soon regarding national eligibility, training schedules and fist circumference minimum requirements.
