We are happy to announce that Chris “Super Mario” Milne will be providing a diary of his time in the Australian National Team as they head to Pakistan to compete in the Asian Fistball Championships!

Also, if you have any questions, comments, or wish to send the Australian team a message of support, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or leave a message on Facebook.
For those that have not been hiding under a rock in 2014, you will know that the Australian National Fistball Team is about to embark on their very first international tour, in order to partake in the inaugural Asian Fistball Championships in Lahore, Pakistan. And as with all sporting tours, you may also know the old saying […]
The tour started with an ominous tone thanks to a classic rookie error. Despite being uncharacteristically organised and packing my bags the night before the trip, I inexplicably decided 15 minutes before I was due to leave for the airport that my iPhone was not completely up-to-date with the latest music sitting on my computer. […]
Bangkok is humid. I knew that coming in, but it doesn’t change the fact. Lee was smart enough to secure a hostel with air-conditioning. His smarts are one of the main reasons we recruited him for the national squad. The other reason is his magnificent fist. The hostel appears to be in a relatively touristy […]
Oh boy, where do I start? This day started slow and ended in a frenzy. But I’ll get to that. Monday was our final day in Bangkok before we headed to Pakistan for the tournament, so it was relatively subdued. Thai massages were endured, tuk-tuks were hailed, and temples were viewed. It was a relaxed […]
Practice did not happen. As the clock ticked over to 3pm, our planned 5pm training was looking highly unlikely, but we had been asked not to leave the hotel by our guests, as they did not want us to leave the hotel without a security escort. They felt responsible for our safety, so we understood […]
This day was a big one, so for the first time in this series, i’ll need to break it down with sub headings! The Practice Matches Finally, we were going to be tested. The Indian team were staying at the same hotel as us and they seemed to be very young but enthusiastic kids. We […]
Richard had been delayed in Australia by work commitments, but had arrived in Lahore the previous night. I was greeted by a knock on my door, and was met by Richard in full beige suit, blasting “You’re The Best” out of his iPhone. He had been reading my diary updates, and had wanted me to […]
I woke up in the night with the chills. Probably didn’t need the airconditioner on. I reached over and turned off the unit, then got up to grab a t-shirt from my suitcase to wear. While trying to find a shirt, I was overcome with uncontrollable shivers. “That’s weird,” I thought to myself. I slipped […]
And just like that, it was the final day in Lahore. What a ride. Our hosts were keen to show us more of Lahore, and we were keen to see the Border Ceremony between India & Pakistan. We loitered around the hotel in the morning and afternoon, filling out postcards in between eating meals and […]
