📖 Fistball 1.01 - Striking The Ball

The ball must be struck with a closed fist or forearm, striking the ball with an open hand is strictly prohibited.

💡 *Did you know? - In Australia, striking the ball with an open hand can result in a player being sent off the court in shame! See below an actual passage from our official FiFA Code of Conduct...

“Open Palm Of Shame”

1. If a player uses the open palm of their hand to strike the ball during play, the player will be assessed a foul, a point will be awarded to the other team, and the offending player will be required to sit out the next point without replacement.

2. While players on the opposing team can accuse players of striking the ball with their open hand, it is expected that the guilty player will act with honesty and dignity, and remove himself or herself from play if they believe to they have committed the foul.

3. To use an open hand shows disrespect to the fist and brings shame upon the game.
